Hi, I’m Mark. Not Marka, and definitely not Marka Stewart — but let me explain.
A few years ago, my wife and I were preparing to host a dinner party, and I’ll admit I got a little carried away. I found these charming little individual salt-and-pepper shakers and immediately plotted to get them for Thanksgiving so every guest would have their own. Then I found individual butter dishes. My wife took one look at the table and said, “I’m going to start calling you Mark-a Stewart.” And it stuck.
Honestly, it fits. I’ve always been fond of homekeeping — cooking, gardening, canning and pickling, and smoking fish I catch myself. I won’t pretend I’m good at all of it. Just ask my wife what happens when I do the laundry.
I started this blog to document my journey — the successes, the mistakes, and everything in between. I’m an avid bass fisherman, a dedicated gardener, a passionate woodworker, and an enthusiastic traveler whenever life allows. Through posts, photos, and the occasional video, I share what I’m learning and experiencing along the way.
